Foods to eat on a regular basis

Tommy was sitting in his home and watching cooking videos on YouTube. He had looked up healthy recipes to get some inspiration for what he should cook for himself.

 

He quickly noticed that some ingredients were used more often than others. When the video finished, it suggested a video about the foundational foods in a healthy diet.

 

A woman in the video explained that by eating liver and heart you get access to a lot of vitamins and minerals that are good for your health like a multivitamin.

 

It threw Tommy off and he felt a bit disgusted about eating liver, as he has grown up with his mother saying eating liver is disgusting, so it is the impression he has of it. 

 

As Tommy continued the video, the woman mentioned that many people find the idea disgusting, but if you cook it right, it is quite good. She also said that eating a lot of beans is good and is the vegan version of it.

 

Besides these key food items, you also wanted to eat eggs, blueberries, avocado, and nuts.

 

Tommy was thinking about it and realized that he could add the beans, to begin with. He was already eating eggs so it was not a problem.

 

30 minutes later, Tommy was in the supermarket, shopping for groceries where he found canned white beans. He took 2 cans and continued to the vegetable section, where he bought a bag of frozen vegetables and a piece of lamb.

 

He went home to start cooking by putting all the vegetables into a pot and started cooking the meat. After cooking and giving it a bit of seasoning, Tommy found it to taste quite good.
